The Liberation Collective began as a dream; an identity epiphany and a mission to decolonize design. It was founded on the urgent need for ‘other’ intellects, artists, designers, and thinkers. The need for decolonized texts, authentic histories, and stories told about ‘us’ by ‘us.’

We are a global collective of like-minded creatives, driven to dismantle the dominance of Western design standards. Rooted in our heritage yet ever-evolving, our work is contemporary, traditional (‘takleedy’), or anywhere in between. It is simply ours, shaped by our own tastes, narratives, and norms.

The Liberation Collective recognizes the vital role of support in an artist’s journey. Our community serves as both an educational hub and a creative refuge, offering a space where ideas flourish freely. We are committed to empowering artists and designers with the training, tools, and resources they need to thrive.
